MISSION

To support Venezuela's National Parks and other Protected Areas conservation through citizen involvement.

BioParques relies on five action lines for the fulfilment of its Mission:

1) To spread in the society the value of National Parks and other Protected Areas as guardians of Venezuela's biodiversity and natural resources.

2) To motivate the involvement of different sectors of the society in the conservation of our National Parks and other Protected Areas.

3) To generate information and education mechanisms in order to promote the knowledge on National Parks and other Protected Areas.

4) To promote and to develop scientific research in National Parks and other Protected Areas.

5) To make proposals in order to improve the management of National Parks and other Protected Areas as tools for the conservation of Venezuela 's biodiversity and natural resources.

VISION

We expect to be an organisation capable of giving to Venezuela 's sustainable development:

• Updated information on the characteristics, conditions and importance of our National Parks and other Protected Areas.
